The model
We found a model of impact that has worked well over the last few years for bringing people together to instigate impact. We have seen it work time and again across our many iterations of events.
- Building impactful solutions that mission-driven organizations can readily use.
- Building community around people who are mission driven, inspiring both developers and nonprofits to do more.
- Rethinking how AI can be used positively in this era of transition for humanity.
What we look for in a chapter lead or team
Mission alignment
You care about the impact on humans and the downstream consequences of technology, not just building technology for its own sake, or the next cool application.
Dedication
Hosting Hack for Social Impact is an intensive labor of love. We are looking for organizers willing to put the time and effort in: not just to put on a hackathon, but to put grounded thinking into which nonprofits and problem statements will be impactful, and to follow through on the continuation of projects.
Mutual interest and fit
We will schedule a call and get to know each other and our working styles. We are happy to provide mentorship and support if you need it, or to be more hands off, as long as you are organizing in the spirit of Hack for Social Impact.
Start the conversation
Tell us about your city and why you want to bring Hack for Social Impact there. We read every one of these and will get back to you to set up a call.
